Summer Concert Preview

Firefly Music Festival:

The Firefly Music Festival is an annual music festival held in Dover, Delaware. This festival takes place over the course of four days, June 19th to the 22nd. This year, popular bands such as Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Arctic Monkeys, and the Lumineers are performing. Senior Courtney O. is excited for the concert and says, “I’m really excited for Firefly because I want to see Imagine Dragons and the Lumineers perform.”

Monumentour: Fall Out Boy and Paramore:

Popular artists from 2006, Fall Out Boy and Paramore are making a comeback with a summer tour to follow up their albums, Save Rock and Roll and the self-titled Paramore. This tour includes special guest, New Politics, and hit songs from both bands, Alone Together by Fall Out Boy and Still Into You by Paramore. Freshmen Tessa M. is hoping for tickets because “I really love Fall Out Boy and their new music has been really good and I just really like it.”

The Monster Tour: Eminem and Rihanna

This summer, Eminem and Rihanna are touring together after their hit single, The Monster. The duo will be hosting nine concerts throughout August in both North America and the United Kingdom. Freshman Sandy P. wishes she was going to the concert because “Eminem is one of my favorite rappers and I like Rihanna’s music too.”

Where We Are Tour: One Direction ft. 5 Seconds of Summer

Following up their sold-out arena tour from 2013, the One Direction boys are touring once more with 5 Seconds of Summer. This year, they are hosting a stadium tour across North America, Europe, Australia, parts of Asia and South Africa. Both bands have recently released new music, the One Direction album, Midnight Memories, and 5 Seconds of Summer released the She Looks So Perfect EP. Freshman Gioia M. says, “I’m a huge fan of both One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer and I’m really excited for their concert this August. I’m really excited to hear Don’t Stop by 5 Seconds of Summer and then Midnight Memories by One Direction.”

That’s My Kind of Night: Luke Bryan

Country star, Luke Bryan is hosting a tour across the United States. This tour supports Luke’s fourth studio album, Crash My Party. Luke is performing songs like “Crash My Party” and “That’s My Kind of Night”, as well as a cover of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ song “Can’t Hold Us”. Freshman Emily B. says, “I wish I was going because I love his song ‘Play it Again’ and I think it would sound amazing live.”
